As part of the Liwa International Festival 2026, Al Dhafra Youth Council launched the ‘Youth Imprint’ initiative – a community-based youth initiative that aims to highlight the role of youth and Youth Councils in supporting national events and serving the community, in addition to enhancing their active participation by implementing initiatives with sustainable social, cultural, and athletic impact.
The initiative presents platform that aligns efforts from youth and partner entities to create innovative experiences that reflect youth’s potential and contribute to their empowerment.
‘Youth Imprint’ is the first initiative of its kind designed to activate the role of Youth Councils, offering an advanced level of organisation and integration, and launched as part of the Liwa International Festival. This, in turn, reflects the evolution of the institutional youth action model and its growing role in supporting national events and enhancing community impact.
The initiative was launched during the Liwa International Festival 2026, in collaboration with more than 15 partner entities across ministerial, government, and private sectors, in addition to Youth Councils. It aims to support institutional partnerships and enhance integration among various sectors in an effort to empower youth and strengthen their community role.
More than 600 participants joined the initiative, including youth and community members from various emirates across the country. Al Dhafra Youth Council organised eight initiatives, ranging from panel discussions to Youth Circles, workshops, film festivals, community activities, and sports tournaments, which sought to develop skills, foster the spirit of initiative, and open spaces for dialogue and exchange of experiences among youth.
The initiative included the launch of the first Al Tabaa challenge during the Liwa International Festival, in addition to a padel tournament for Youth Councils, which contributed to enhancing communication and integration among Youth Councils across the UAE, and reinforcing the concepts of collaborative work and constructive competition.
