The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) participated in the Youth Day activities held as part of the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum 2026 by organising a series of interactive sessions and activities. The programme highlighted the role of Emirati youth in strengthening future industries, advanced technologies and entrepreneurship, underscoring the UAE’s vision to build a competitive economy driven by knowledge and innovation.
The sessions attracted a large number of youth, entrepreneurs, experts and decision-makers to discuss advanced industries, artificial intelligence, technology and future skills. The participants showcased inspiring success stories from across the UAE and innovative projects reflecting the nation’s rapid industrial growth. It was highlighted how youth could transform their ideas into national ventures to make a significant impact on the national economy.
The Federal Youth Authority organised a panel discussion titled “Catalysts for Change: Youth and Industry”, which explored how to empower the next generation to lead industrial sector growth and to strengthen youth-focused policies. The session also highlighted the importance of developing the skills and capabilities needed for future industries and building a national ecosystem that enables youth to contribute effectively to industrial and technological development pathways.
A youth circle titled “Non-Automatable Skills: Preparing Emirati Talent for the Future of Advanced Industries”, was also hosted as part of the programme. It examined young people’s growing interest in industrial careers and the importance of leadership skills in advanced industries. The session explored ways to enhance the attractiveness of the industrial sector for youth and support them in identifying future opportunities within this critical field.
The Abu Dhabi Youth Council launched the ‘Shabab AI’ programme during a panel discussion titled “Youth and Industrial Resilience: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Robotics to Ensure Supply Chain Continuity”. Led by experts, the programme aims to equip Emirati youth with applied technical skills through specialised modules focused on artificial intelligence, robotics and the development of innovative solutions and practical projects that support supply chains and the fourth industrial revolution.
As part of efforts to support national youth-led ventures, the event also featured projects awarded the ‘Done by Youth’ label, reflecting the FYA’s commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and promoting national products in local and international markets. The initiative offered young business owners the opportunity to benefit from the Youth Corner programme, delivered in collaboration with ADNOC Distribution, helping their enterprises build the readiness needed to expand and reach wider markets.
