In parallel with the UAE’s initiative to celebrate Emirati-Kuwaiti relations under the theme ‘UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever’, and in line with the wise leadership’s directives emphasising the importance of empowering youth and enhancing their role as partners in development, the Federal Youth Authority (FYA) organised a series of joint youth activities that embody the deep ties between the UAE and the State of Kuwait, and reflect the vision shared among leaders in both countries to align aspirations and shape a future founded on cooperation and sustainability.
The programme featured a wide range of events, including Youth Circles, interactive activities, workshops, and knowledge sessions. These activities were designed with an aim to strengthen UAE-Kuwait youth partnership, reinforce a shared Gulf identity, and expand youth participation in development and decision-making processes, while keeping pace with future requirements and expanding the youth’s role as a key driver of sustainable development.
Notably, the agenda included two Youth Circles held in both Kuwait and the UAE, the first of which, titled ‘Prospects of UAE-Kuwait Cooperation: A Shared, Youth-Led Vision’, featured His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs. The session offered a platform for dialogue bringing young people from both countries together with leading figures to discuss the vision of leaders in each country for providing meaningful opportunities for youth, as well as the role of youth institutions and Youth Councils in empowering young people and moulding their leadership traits and identity.
The Youth Circle also explored the young participants’ aspirations to shape a promising future that strengthens youth partnership and establishes sustainable UAE-Kuwait shared ecosystems that effectively engage youth in development and decision-making processes.
The second Youth Circle, titled ‘From Roots to Leadership: A UAE-Kuwait Partnership Led by Youth’, focused on the role of young people in leading the future, advancing youth partnerships, and building sustainable cooperation pathways grounded in initiative and innovation. The session underscored the importance of investing in youth’s potential, reinforcing a shared Gulf identity, and turning youth-led dialogues into practical initiatives with sustainable economic and developmental impact.
On the same note, the programme featured a variety of activities implemented by Youth Hubs in collaboration with national partners that brought together young people from both countries. These included art workshops and panel discussions highlighting the historic relations between the UAE and Kuwait, in an effort to enhance engagement and impart knowledge in an interactive and motivating style,.
