The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) organised the Youth Financial Hackathon event as part of its Youth Financial Advisors Programme, in an effort to inspire young Emiratis to develop practical solutions that promote financial literacy, expand financial inclusion, and strengthen community engagement.
The event’s objectives align with the UAE leadership’s vision to empower youth, encourage innovation, and drive sustainable economic growth.
Participants at the event developed innovative projects across four key tracks: Financial Entrepreneurship, Corporate Finance and Governance, Personal Saving and Investment, and Financial Inclusion. Using the Design Thinking methodology, they identified challenges, ideated solutions, built prototypes, and presented them to a specialised panel of judges.
The Financial Inclusion track secured first place with a project titled ‘Inclusion’, designed to empower various segments of society by providing them with accessible and secure pathways to financial awareness and freedom.
The initiative includes developing a comprehensive ministerial curriculum on financial literacy and collaborating with pension funds to offer customised saving and investment plans that align with individual needs and enhance financial stability.
